Warre Opstaele - President
Warre is a final-year Master’s student in Business Engineering - Finance at Ghent University. Through Capitant Ghent, he aims to connect with like-minded students and deepen his understanding of the financial sector and its opportunities. His interests include investment banking, financial markets, and venture capital. Outside of finance, he enjoys going to the gym, challenging himself through fitness and travelling with his family.
Thomas Manders - Vice President
Thomas is a third-year Bachelor's student in Economics at Ghent University. He is particularly interested in monetary economics, economic policy and financial markets. In his free time, he enjoys travelling and spending time with friends.
Xander Vansteenkiste - Treasury
Xander is pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration, specialising in Finance and Risk Management, at Ghent University. His ambitions span private equity, venture capital and corporate finance, with a strong interest in opportunities where he can take on responsibility and learn quickly. A passionate cyclist and member of the Club des Cinglés du Mont Ventoux, he enjoys challenging himself both on and off the bike. Outside of finance and cycling, he loves to travel and discover new cities, cultures and landscapes.
Emiel Gardeyn - Corporate Relations
Emiel is currently in his third year of a Bachelor's degree in Business Engineering, during which he has developed a strong interest in private equity and the industrial sector. He is passionate about football and enjoys spending time outdoors with friends. In his free time, he also loves traveling, having explored destinations across Europe.

Nathan is a first-year Master’s student in Business Engineering, specialising in Finance at Ghent University. He is particularly intrigued by Venture Capital, Private Equity and financial markets. Outside of his studies, he enjoys travelling, endurance sports, and spending time with friends.
Ward Lokere - Career
Ward is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Engineering, specialising in Finance, at Ghent University. He has developed a strong interest in Corporate Finance, M&A and Private Equity. Outside of his academic life, Ward enjoys spending time with friends and family and staying active by playing football, running, cycling and going to the gym.
Jonas Vanclooster - Career
Jonas is a third-year Bachelor’s student in Business Engineering at Ghent University, driven by a strong interest in corporate finance, M&A and Private Equity. Outside of his studies, he enjoys travelling, discovering new places and cultures, and sports like running and swimming. He was also a leader in a youth organization. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Ward Vancoillie - Marketing
Ward is currently completing his Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Energy. He is fascinated by the intersection of his technical engineering background and his passion for financial markets and investing. Driven by a desire to combine his analytical side with a creative mindset, he serves as Board Member Marketing. Outside of his academics and board work, Ward stays active through running, strength training, and football. In his free time, he enjoys working on his own projects and spending time with friends.
Almina Avci - Marketing
Almina is a student at the Faculty of Law and Criminology who likes to look beyond her textbooks. Capitant gives her the perfect opportunity to explore her broad interest in finance and gain valuable practical knowledge. To balance her studies and Capitant, she loves clearing her head with sports or enjoying a drink with friends on a sunny day.

Maarten is currently pursuing a Master's in Economics at Ghent University. He is interested in financial markets, macroeconomics, and strategy consulting. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, playing the piano and spending time with friends and family.
