Job Description

Korys is the investment structure of the Colruyt family, a unique place for motivated students or young graduates to acquire the skills and experience to kickstart their career as investment professionals.

Korys focuses on three investment themes:

  • Energy Transition (ET): renewable energy assets and innovative companies providing enabling technologies and services

  • Conscious Consumer (CC): consumer companies that offer products and services that are convenient and responsible from a social, environmental or health perspective

  • Healthy Living (HL): innovative companies across prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases

We combine expertise in both private and listed assets. This synergy is a key strength of our organisation.

We are therefore looking for interns to join our:

  • Liquid Investments team (LI): public equity investments

  • Direct Investments teams (DI): private equity investments in Energy Transition, Conscious Consumer or Healthy Living

As an intern, you will participate in all phases of the investment cycle:

  • Map specific industries: industry dynamics and drivers, technologies/products/services, identify players of interest

  • Screen and evaluate investment opportunities (market, position and strategy of the company, financial analysis, sustainability and valuation)

  • Prepare internal presentations and documents for investment decisions

  • Assist during transactional processes

  • Support portfolio companies in achieving their objectives

Job Qualifications

A successful candidate for this internship will have the following characteristics:

  • A high level of motivation and strong interest in investments, business strategy and sustainability

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, business administration or science (preferably with a focus on agriculture: bio-engineering, biology, biotechnology…)

  • Fluency in English, knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus

  • Enthusiastic, open-minded, flexible and eager to learn. Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Down-to-earth attitude, willingness to roll up the sleeves with ability to work autonomously

  • Previous internship experience in a relevant field is a plus
