About Trajan

Trajan is the people-driven specialist in capital and management transition for SMEs. Through our differentiating strategy, where we identify and place high-potential individuals with a proven track record, we are able to secure the transition of family-owned businesses to a new trusted shareholder. We focus on MBI and MBO transactions.

Founded in 2020, Trajan has deployed a first fund of €110 million, invested into 8 companies and has realised 2 exits. After a successful launch in France, Trajan has now expanded into the Benelux and we are currently raising our second fund.

We are a team of 10 investment professionals operating out of Paris and Brussels. Trajan has a long-term partnership with Edmond de Rothschild, allowing us to benefit from their full support, their international network and reach.

What can you expect?

Joining a small and seasoned team that executes several deals a year, you will be exposed to the different stages of the deal cycle. You will be at the centre of the action, providing support to the investment team and working directly with the partners.

• Source potential investment opportunities in the Benelux
• Assess incoming deal flow (financial & strategic review, market research,
• Help on the transaction execution (due diligence, preparation of materials,…)
• Provide ad-hoc support to our portfolio companies on reporting, potential build-ups and other projects

What do we expect?

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with excellent analytical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Ideally, you’ll have aced your master’s at university, and Excel or PowerPoint have no secrets for you. You’ll be comfortable taking our financial modelling case study and, as a true citizen of the world, you love Vondel, know Molière, and have a well-developed portfolio of Shakespearean one-liners.

Self-starting, you are proactive and curious. A prior experience in consultancy, M&A/transaction services, or private equity will be a plus.
