CFOrent - Finance & Business Associate

We are looking for a Finance & Business Associate with relevant experience in accounting and controlling in dynamic companies. You are willing to join a team of other senior finance processionals, based in Belgium. In a couple of months, you will quickly evolve into a finance business partner for multiple start-ups and scale-up companies. This role will be very diverse, each day will be different and we need you to be able to cope with this ever-changing environment. You will work as part of the management of our clients and as such need strong communication skills, need to be proactive and willing to get things done. In return, we will guide through your learning curve and you will have a team to fall back on.

Key Responsibilities

• Guiding financial transformation
• Setting up and managing internal processes
• Guide budgeting and forecasting
• Setting up extensive and complex management reporting
• Offering advice on accounting, fiscal and financial procedures
• Key financial analysis
• Creating investment cases, advising strategy
• Compiling audits, reviews and tax preparation
• Identifying and advising on new strategic opportunities
• Advising core management
• Implementing and creating procedures to improve financial and business processes
• Present reports/findings to your manager and enable clients to make informed decisions for
  their business

Skills

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, advanced skills in Excel are required.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• A hands-on mentality and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines and ensure timely delivery of analyses and reports.
  Manage workload efficiently to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Being able to translate complex analyses and recommendations in a clear and
  understandable manner.
• Proficient skills in writing and able to express yourself clearly in Dutch and English. French is a
  clear plus;
• Ability to work with the newest systems and processes. Our clients change constantly and so
  do we. You need to be able to learn fast and try out new things.

Profile

• A genuine interest in how business and finance come together
• Bachelor or Master in Finance, or similar
• 6 years of experience working as a business controller or finance manager
• Strong analytical mind with the ability to make analyses, budgets and forecasts, while being
  able to present these in a correct, concise way to the management and board
• Time management skills: able to work on multiple assignments for multiple clients, while
  maintaining accuracy against tight timeliness
• Pro-active mindset: you will have to pick up queries and issues yourself and need to plan
  ahead. You will be the right hand of multiple CEO’s and they need to be able to count on you.
• Be a teamplayer: you will get to know different teams and people
• Flexibility in terms of time and location. You will work in multiple locations in Flanders and
  will need to manage your own time
• Have some proficiency in cloud-based accounting and reporting systems
• Willingness to learn legal, fiscal or HR-related items is a plus
